Be the light of your school

Ephesians 5:8

“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.” (NIV)

For some people, school is the hardest part of the week. But you can be there for those people and be the light in their darkness. But how? Here’s 3 tips on how you can do just that!

  1. Give out a Bible. By giving away a Bible, to somebody, can help them answering the questions they have and you can share what you believe in. Who knows, you can make that persons day just by giving them a Bible.

  2. If you think someone has a awesome shirt or if you like someone's hair - tell them! You got nothing to lose by giving a compliment. That can be your way of spreading your light!

  3. Give out candy or bake something to show that you care or to show the school that the New Generation group exists!

You can be a light in your school. If you live out your faith, it shows on you. Your friends will see that you have something they also want.

You don’t always have to do big things - the small things can give a big result as well. Did you know that God loves math? If you multiply 0x1000, it’s 0, right? That’s what happens when you depend on God to do something in his own power without you taking a step of initiative. But if you multiply 1x1000 it’s 1000, because God can take your initiative - your “1”- and make it bigger. For you, it’s maybe just a smile or just a compliment but that smile can build a landing strip for God to work in your friends. When you fly a airplane you need a landing strip to land the plane safely. You can’t just stop in the air and fall down, it doesn't work like that. And by doing the small things you can prepare a landing strip for God in your friends life. If you take the first initiativ God can do great things with it.
